This natural and food-safe wax is ideal for a non-toxic and sustainable sealing of JESIN objects.

Our product "SHEA SEAL" is a vegetable wax that is obtained from the nuts of the Karité tree (also called the Shea tree).

The wax is simply spread over the surface and rubbed in gently using a microfiber cloth or your fingers. The slight grain of the SHEA SEAL disappears when you have rubbed it in sufficiently. It is indirectly a good indication that the surface has been sufficiently supplied with it (= no more grain).

This seal protects your JESIN object from contamination such as dust, dirt or coffee/red wine stains. It is also food-safe and therefore food such as chocolate, fruit, vegetables, etc. can be served on it without hesitation. It also protects against moisture, water drops or soot. However, it is not intended for permanent water exposure such as for vases.

Depending on use, the JESIN object must be resealed from time to time - comparable to TEAK garden furniture ;)
